This concert marks an exciting new chapter as Daniel Wiley takes the podium for his first performance as Artistic Director & Conductor. We travel through vivid landscapes-from bright exuberance to lyrical intensity and stormy romanticism. The evening will include Rossoni’s Overture to “La Gazza Ladra,” Richard Strauss’s Oboe Concerto,
featuring Dwight Parry Principal Oboe of the Cincinnatti Symphony, and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5, a sweeping exploration of fate and transformation that moves from brooding darkness to triumphant defiance.
