Local Man Facing Multiple Charges After Crashing into Speedway Sign
A 36-year-old Alexandria man is facing multiple charges after allegedly crashing his vehicle into a sign at a Speedway Gas Station in Anderson Saturday night.
According to a police report, the man is facing preliminary charges of Leaving the Scene of a Crash-Property Damage (Class B Misdemeanor), Operating a Vehicle while Intoxicated (Class A Misdemeanor), and Resisting Law Enforcement (Class A Misdemeanor).
Police were called to the Speedway Gas Station at 1001 W. 53rd Street around 5:54 pm in response to a possible property damage incident involving a silver Chevy Equinox crashing into a Speedway sign.
FOX59/CBS4 obtained footage of the incident from Hudson Tool Rental, a business located across the street from the gas station.
The man was arrested on the scene several hours later and booked into the Madison County Jail around 10:43 pm. No further details were immediately available in the report.
